Vaping Marijuana vs. Edibles: What’s the Healthiest Way to Use MarijuanaPeople around the globe swiftly realize some of the many healing effects cannabis produces. Because cannabis use has dramatically increased across society, so have the numerous ways to absorb the powerful medicinal elements of the super plant. Most commonly, patients and recreational users take marijuana and release the cannabinoids by igniting the plant at high temperatures, inhaling the smoky and unhealthy by-product. While this is the most traditional method of marijuana consumption, it’s not the only option. Health-minded marijuana users have creatively come up with other options to release their favorite cannabinoids. Today, there are much healthier ways to use your marijuana of which the 2 most common ones are:
- Vaping, and;
Edibles One of the most popular consumption method in recent times has been marijuana edibles. Vaping is still a relatively new phenomenon and people who don’t want to smoke but still want to use marijuana, often end up with edibles. The process of cooking marijuana edibles takes the medicinal compounds out of the marijuana and allows them to be infused into goods such as brownies, cookies, and many more delicious treats. This infusion process is incredibly long as there are many steps that need to be followed. One very effective way is the following: Once you have your strain, the first step will involve heating up the marijuana to release some of the cannabinoids. Next, the user will take the butter and combine it with the marijuana and let it simmer on low heat for a few hours. They will then drain all the plant material and use the butter to cook their desired baked goods. The cannabinoids are released in the baking process and can simply be consumed by the user in food. This is a very safe method of marijuana consumption, and quite possibly the healthiest way to use medical marijuana. Here’s why: If you baked healthy food, you will be ingesting ZERO toxins (at least zero toxins which are related to marijuana). When cooking marijuana edibles, there’s no creation of toxic by-products like you have with smoking and you even get a little bit with vaping. There are also no risks of getting a cheap dangerous imitation vaporizer for example. You’re just using your regular cookware. Now: The only real risk with marijuana edibles is that they are very unpredictable and they can hit you extremely hard. In fact, the effects can be so strong that you literally pass out once the effects kick in. This makes for extremely dangerous situations if you’re driving a car for example. So always keep in mind: NEVER EVER USE MARIJUANA EDIBLES IF YOU’RE DOING SOMETHING OR NEED TO DO SOMETHING THAT DAY WHICH REQUIRES YOU TO BE FULLY AWARE OF YOURSELF AND YOUR SURROUNDINGS! Also be sure to keep your baked goods away from children and pets. If you do happen to pass out on a couch, for example, you don’t have to worry: you cannot die or get harmed long-term from a marijuana overdose. Which Is Better? As you can see this all depends on your specific preferences. Vaping when done right, is only slightly less healthy than edibles, but it’s much more convenient for most people as it’s much easier to micro-dose and the effects are always predictable. The process of creating marijuana edibles doesn’t produce any toxic by-products, but the effects are unpredictable which can result in dangerous situations. So we cannot objectively say which one is healthier, it’s all dependent on your personal wants, needs, and situation!
