Advanced Medical Alternatives Issues Product Recall
On Dec. 3, 2015, Advanced Medical Alternatives, a Denver-based marijuana company, issued a voluntary recall of approximately 133 units of concentrates from three different products after testing showed the products had unsafe levels of pesticides.
The products involved are AMA’s Grape Dawg Shatter, Indica Blend Wax and Indica Blend Shatter concentrates. Affected products will have the batch numbers 75D-716, 62E-192 and 62E-169.
This is the second pesticide-related recall this week and the 11th in the last three months. The first recall this week was on Dec. 1, and involved 17 different EdiPure products, totaling 7,770 units.
The AMA recall is isolated to one retail location, the AMA owned Golden Triangle shop at 1269 N. Elati St. in Denver.
Consumers who have purchased the recalled items are urged to either destroy the products or return them to the store from which they were purchased. For more information, Advanced Medical Alternatives can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In an effort to regulate the use of pesticides during the cultivation process, Colorado issued a statewide marijuana pesticides policy statement on Nov. 12, 2015.
