California governor OKs marijuana use at beaches, state parks
Marijuana retailers in California should be breathing a sigh of relief after Gov. Jerry Brown vetoed legislation that would have prevented people from smoking cannabis on beaches and in state parks.
The governor vetoed two bills, including one that would have imposed $100 fines for consumption of cannabis, tobacco or e-cigarettes in such areas.
Not only would passage of those bills have hampered retail sales to California consumers who want to take marijuana with them to natural settings, but it would have severely reduced options for tourists seeking somewhere to consume once the state’s recreational law goes
