Oregon Tribe Eyeing MJ Industry

Next month could see the creation of a 36,000-square-foot marijuana cultivation and extraction facility at an Oregon Native American reservation if a planned vote is approved by enough members of the tribe.

The Warm Springs Indian Reservation, roughly two hours from Portland, is set to vote on Dec. 17 on whether or not to move ahead with the project, according to the Bulletin. If it passes, then the facility – along with a trio of proposed rec shops in Portland and Bend – are expected to bring in more than $11 million in revenues in its first year
