Maryland greenlights eight medical cannabis cultivators

Maryland regulators have approved eight more companies for medical cannabis cultivation permits, bringing to nine the number of companies allowed  to grow MMJ in the state. ForwardGro was the first licensee given final approval, in May. Meanwhile, 15 total cultivation license winners faced a Monday deadline to have their grows up and running, meaning the six that haven’t gotten the final go-ahead could lose their licenses, The Baltimore Sun reported.
