Pennsylvania has given its first green light to a medical marijuana company
to start growing cannabis under the state’s new MJ program
The Morning Call newspaper reported the state health department approved Cresco Yeltrah – based in Jefferson County in western Pennsylvania – as fully operational, making it the first of 12 cultivation/processing licensees to win approval.
The company plans to grow more than 30 strains of flower as well as produce cannabis oil, transdermal patches and capsules, with the goal of having its products ready for sale in February.
